Transgender (also referred to as khusra) reflects a group of people who enjoy the least amount of respect or rights in Pakistan. Due to the controversial nature and typical mindset of people, the subject of Transgender rights in Pakistan is not even discussed in sophisticated circles. Most people do not even
consider them as a part of their community; massive rejections are often faced by transgenders in almost all the parts of Pakistan.
- Lack of proper education.
- No NGO working to provide formal or informal education to transgenders.
- Transgenders don’t have a proper source of income as they aren’t included in the mainstream a workforce which is why they have to resort to unconventional ways of earning a living.
- A substantial percentage of Pakistan’s workforce is redundant and needs to be utilized
